Role of sensory stimulation in development

  • Sensory input triggers a series of physiological, emotional and motor responses unique to each individual because our neurological circuitry is shaped by our experiences.
  • However, as babies, we respond quite similarly to sensory stimuli because of a common set of inborn automatic response patterns.  These response patterns, called “primitive reflexes”, not only allow the immature central nervous system to respond to sensory stimuli, they also connect the brain and the rest of the body, and lay the neurological foundation.  
  • Sensory stimulation and primitive reflexes are key components to our neurological development.

For whom

  • This workshop is designed for people who is interested in holistic therapy, understanding how our central nervous system develops and experiencing how RMTi exercises can integrate our body and mind.
  • This workshop is very suitable for school teachers, physical, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, or anyone working with special needs people.
  • This workshop is for everyone who wants to experience RMTi program. 

Instructor

  • Lily Ching is a certified Rhythmic Movement Training International ™ provider.  Lily has worked extensively on herself using RMTi exercises to regain health and wellness from scoliosis, chronic illnesses and allergies.
